NATURAL ALTERNATIVE HEALTHY HEALING

This blog is about my exciting journey through the wonderful ups and downs of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, dementia, and degenerative disk disorder.

A few years ago I was so bad that I was bedridden. I was on 11 powerful prescription drugs with extremely dangerous side effects and no signs of improvement.

My mother-in-law is an herbalist...  since marrying into this family, seven years ago, she gently made suggestions about herbs that might help… you can guess how well that was received.  You see, I know better than anyone how best to deal with all my ailments.  I was doing exactly what my doctors told me to do – and it left me bedridden – so of course I know best. My existence then, was my bed and pain, excruciating pain.

I had finally reached a point in my life where I would do anything to get out of the pain I was in.  But, if you haven’t noticed – the herbal way – the holistic route, is very, very expensive.  My husband was working at Walmart, and we barely had enough to live on with all my current medical expenses.

When my mother-in-law realized it was the money – not my pig-headed-ness – that was the reason for not trying the herbal remedies, she graciously offered us her home and immediately started me on an herbal regimen and healthy eating lifestyle.  (We spend almost as much on my herbal regimen and healthy eating lifestyle, as we did on rent! But our priorities have changed. Now, health is a priority – instead of cable TV…)

By putting health as our priority, I am out of bed! Almost completely free from using my walker (I do use a cane), and I have a life now! I am so ecstatic I want to share what I have learned to help others live healthier, happier lives.

This blog is only the beginning!  But sometimes I feel like my life is only about pain... and coping with it - but it isn't. I also have a dream of becoming self-sufficient, and I want to share my adventures with you about that too – but my health comes first… and then comes the self-sufficiency.
